So try to reinstall the app it may solve the problem.

Ok...Some days ago, I created a new Yahoo! ID. I tried to make an avatar but it froze and sometimes the IE closed suddenly without warning. I thought it was bad luck but...I tried to open my Messenger but sometimes it said there is a problem, sometimes it closed by itself just like IE, and now it says it failed to initialise (kind of error). Now I can't open my Nero StartSmart, my Messenger, sometimes my Avira Antivir, sometimes IE...After numerous tries I hardly succeeded to reach Yahoo!Answers. At certain programmes it says it's a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error , it caused the program to terminate. Yesterday, when I tried to open different features of Avira it said things like : Out of memory. The virus or unwanted program was not deleted. What out of memory, I have lots of free memory! What virus???
I mention I have SUPERAntiSpyware and Avira AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic. Now, the scans work reaaaallly slow.

What you wanna do is get these anti-virus with fire wall. first download the spybot S%26amp;D. It's the first site below. After downloading, scan. Do the same with the second site below. It's called Avast. It's a virus scanner and a firewall at the same time. Those two are awesome. AND FREE!!
Then, what version is your IE? You should use IE7. Or better yet, use firefox for safer browsing. I indicated the site for that too below.

5. Check RAM and HDD connections.
If it still doesn't respond after all that, a reformat may be in order.

What is a run time error?
trying to use my adobe photoshop elements 5.0 i want to edit a picture and a window comes up saying the following: "microsoft visual c++ runtime library". after this in the same window it has written "program:D:\photoshopelementseditor.exe"

It will be a long answer but so what.
This behavior occurs if a program conflicts with the Mosdmn.exe and Mosearch.exe files.The Mosdmn.exe and Mosearch.exe files are part of the "Support for fast searching" feature in Office XP. This feature is similar to the Find Fast feature in Microsoft Office 2000. Fast searching uses the Indexing Service in Office XP to create a catalog of Office files on your computer's hard disk.
Method 1: Clean Boot with Only MoSearch
The Mosearch.exe (Microsoft Office Search Service) and Mosdmn.exe (Microsoft Office 10 Search Filter Daemon) Startup items may be conflicting with some other program (or programs) running in the background. Therefore, clean boot your computer with only MoSearch selected on the Startup menu to determine whether this program is the source of the conflict. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type msconfig.exe, and then click OK.
3. On the General tab, click Selective startup.
4. On the Startup tab, click to clear all check boxes except for MoSearch.
NOTE: In Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), leave the *StateMgr check box selected as well.
5. Click OK, and then click Yes when you are prompted to restart the computer.
6. If the error message can be reproduced, repeat the preceding steps. In step 3, also click to clear the Process System.ini file and Process Win.ini file check boxes.
If the error message cannot be reproduced, this indicates that MoSearch is conflicting with some other program or programs running in the background. Follow these steps to locate the conflicting program:
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type msconfig.exe, and then click OK.

1. Quit all Office programs.
2. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
3. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.NOTE: Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.
4. On the Install/Uninstall tab, click Microsoft Office XP product, where Office XP product is the name of the specific Office product in question. If you are using a stand-alone version of one of the Office programs, click the appropriate product in the list.
5. Click Add/Remove.
6. In the Maintenance Mode Options dialog box, click Add or Remove Features, and then click Next.
7. Click the plus sign (+) next to Office Tools, point to the icon next to Support for fast searching, and then click Not Available.
8. Click Update.
9. Repeat steps 2 through 8 for all other Office XP products installed on your computer.
10. Restart your computer.
NOTE: After you perform these steps, search for the Mosearch.exe and Mosdmn.exe files. You should not find them. If you do find them, you can safely delete these two files.
Reply:right. now your adobe c++ is clashing with windows c++. it happens some time. best way remove the photoshop and re-install. if still happens then probabley need to install your windows again. because once their base files are currupted you can not repair them.

there might be chances that your hardware is not supporting your softwares. this often happens when you have less RAM on the system. so get that checked as well.

I need help with internet related problem concerning Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver.?
I have Vista and I had numerous crashes with Internet Explorer 7. I had many occurances of the error "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library". I already had uninstall the google toolbar and tried to figure out what add-ons may be the problem but did not find a solution. In Vista's "Problem Reports and Solutions", it prompted me with a solution of downloading an update for Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver. I had clicked the link I was given to download Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver version 15.2.3. I had downloaded it and while installing it, it made my computer display a black screen with one blinking underscore. Then it displayed a black screen with many red, green, blue distorted little boxes together on different parts of the screen. This happened for a good 7-8 minutes. Finally, my computer turned back on normally with the installation still running for about 3 minutes and then it finally says that I cannot install because I have an "error in setup". What do I do?

Reply:Boot in SAFE MODE. Try using Windows Explorer there. If you don't get the message, then reboot normally and run some virus checking programs.
If you installed a new program recently, remove it and test your system.

Does anyone know how to troubleshoot the Trillian software from yahoo?

You def. have spyware/virus. First thing is to turn off system restore (right click my computer icon, properties) Next download or at least have 2 or 3 spyware cleaners.. Ad-aware - spybot --ect. Install and update the definitions. Also download ccleaner its free as well (this just cleans temp files/junk). Now restart your computer in safe mode, restart computer and when booting start tapping F8 key and choose safe mode. Then scan your computer with your utilities you just updated. This process may take several times of rebooting and scanning.

It's system C driver failure. It will happen to every computer it spends all its life spinning round and it wears out. You need to get a new one. Or get a new computer. Be patient with me, because this problem requires patience.
We need to delete staled codes in IE7 first.
Open IE7 ( Internet explore 7) which is your browser, and click on TOOLS located to the upper right and then select INTERNET OPTIONS......... There, you will see many buttons. Click on DELETE, then you’ll be taken to where you can either DELETE FILES, DELETE HISTORY, DELETE FORMS, DELETE PASSWORDS AND DELETE ALL.
I highly recommend you to delete your files, history, forms and cookies. Then close that box and then click on OK located to the bottom.
Before we proceed to the next step, be informed that you may lose your Itunes songs.
What OS are you using, is it windows XP or Vista? Let's assume you are using XP.
Click on START located to the bottom left on your computer screen and click on MY COMPUTER. Double click on Local disk (C:) then click on PROGRAM FILES. Then click on the Itunes folder..... Then delete everything in that folder relating to Itunes...
After you have finished deleting all the items in Itunes folder, repeat the step to remove Quickktime player from your computer, too. Then reboot your computer. Then go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/ to re-download Itunes.
NOTE: Turn off your personal firewall program when you are downloading Itunes. But remember to turn it back on as soon as you are finished.

Computer problem?
Everytime i reboot my computer a thing comes up that says Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library. This application requests that runtime terminate it in an unusual way bigfix.exe. Contact customer support. I tried to contact them but they never get back in touch with me. Has anyone else had this happen, and know how to fix it? Also it wont let me open big fix at all.

Reply:You probably have a trojan virus that gets into the registry. A bulletin from Microsoft about runtime errors recommends Avast antivirus to remove it. Avast Home is free. I've used Avast for years and recommend it to remove any virus. If this is a trojan worm and not a virus, then you need anti-spyware like SpyBot Search %26amp; Destroy and Ad-Aware. But first get Avast installed and run a virus check. It will take a while, so go do something else while it checks your entire computer system.

After you are sure your disk is virus free, check and see if this eliminated the error and the problem caused by the error.
Second, I would guess that a DLL is corrupted, or the memory moduile is bad. Did she add RAM to the system prior to starting PSPX - maybe you have a bad bit of memory?
Then I would run hardware diagnostics like System File Checker. (She will need the Windows Disk for this) This is a program that not only checks for corrupted/missing files, but fixes them. Start SFC from the Start/Run command. Type in sfc scannow (remember to put a space between the c and the forward slash), and press Enter for XP/2000 users or simply SFC for previous versions (98, ME) and follow the instructions .... place the disk in the machine when prompted.. After the program finishes running, reboot the computer.
This fix has worked in the majority of the runtime error cases I’ve experienced. Sometimes, it doesn’t work and you’ll have to dig a little deeper to find the cause.
If that does not work, then try the following....
Try cleaning out IE temp files and cookies, or if they have them, try uninstalling the Yahoo or Google Toolbars from the Add / Remove Programs applet icon the control panel.
Microsoft Office can also cause this issue. Try re-installing or updating it online.

This was what happen few days ago and when my com started to have probs. I think it's because of this: I've just unistall limewire days ago before these probs started. My Norton was expired early this year...

However if your OS is WinXp - You will most likely need to turn off the system restore feature to delete infected restore points that a trojan might have been backed up into . I would get Spybot Search %26amp; Destroy next , update it and hit the immunise button . Run a scan and you should be able to recover from your infection soon .
Get a free anti-virus program and scan again . If you have to hold f-8 key at boot-up to enter safe mode and scan from there . When you get " clean " try out spyware blaster to prevent reinfection - Use Restricted Zones To Stop Spyware

2. Scroll the list until you find "Google toolbar for Internet Explorer".
3. Remove the program and reboot your system.
